Captain John and his crew put us on limits of jumbo salmon while other boats struggled to catch anything. We also landed striped bass and lingcod. After 50 years of fishing, this was honestly one of the best trips I’ve ever had, and I learned a lot along the way. My son Jack is still talking about it! John gave us a fantastic day aboard a great boat with top-quality equipment.

Epic fishing! John and crew delivered limits on fat salmon, plus stripe bass, ling cod and half a dozen other species in a single day for me and my son, Jack. Hands down the best day I ever had in the Bay Area. And I grew up in the Bay Area! Can’t wait to fish again this fall with Addictive Fishing and the amazing Grady. Joel S.

Captain John is the one to book for an unforgettable fishing trip! He put us right on the fish, and we quickly limited out on rockfish while catching an impressive variety of species. He didn’t stop there, taking us out to target lingcod and salmon. We came close to landing three lingcod before finishing the day with salmon. We even spotted whales along the way, which made an already memorable day even better. First Mate Travis was outstanding, constantly helping the group, keeping lines in the water, sharing useful tips, and making sure everyone had a great time. John’s knowledge and determination, combined with Travis’s hard work, made this one of the best fishing charters I’ve experienced. If you want a crew that goes above and beyond to put you on fish, book with John. We only wish we could return sooner!

Captain John and his deckhand were amazing throughout our nearly 11-hour trip. Even with one person feeling seasick and another having a little too much to drink, they kept the day fun and incredibly productive. We landed a 25-pound flounder and caught a huge number of fish! I highly recommend Addictive Sport Fishing to anyone looking for an enjoyable fishing experience with a knowledgeable and professional crew.

One of the best boats I've booked in the bay area. Knowledgeable, safe, entertaining, and accommodating to your fishing needs. Captain John's experience is evident in his preparation, explanation, and guidance. We all had multiple opportunities to bring in fish from the minute we dropped anchor. I would encourage any family with kids or less experienced anglers to book from a guide like him for a more memorable trip. Did you know we have 200lb sturgeon in the SF Delta? Yeah, me neither. That was until I booked a charter with Capt. John and Addictive Sports Fishing. He got us on the fish and gave us a once in a lifetime experience...catching a 200lb Sturgeon! Great boat, quality gear, and Capt. John know where the fish are. What more can you ask! will definitely book another trip with these guys. Amazing time and value!

Captain John takes pride in making sure his clients get fish. We did very well and caught some very nice sturgeon while other boats seemed to be striking out. Recommend without histattion!

This was my second trip with Captain John and it was again a great trip. I booked this trip for my son that wanted to catch shark. Captain John took us out and within a couple of minutes of getting out to our first stop, my son was reeling in his first leopard shark. We ended up catch a ton of 7 gill sharks, a couple of leopard sharks, and a couple of sand sharks. It was a great experience and I look forward to going back out with Captain John.

Hands down one of our top charter captains and trip. Tucker and I have chartered trips from Catalina to N.O. Bayou to Oregon Inlet, NC and all over the state of Florida .We know a thing or two about fishing charters. Capt John put us on the fish right off the bat. Shoutout to first mate Austin. He was like a halibut whisperer. We really enjoyed their friendly company and knowledge. We ended with a Triple hookup right off Alcatraz. How cool is that!! We will be up to fish Sturgeon with them in November. That's a lock!!!

I arranged this trip as a bachelor party outing for my friend, and it was a fantastic experience. Captain John and his deckhand Austin were outstanding, bringing a wealth of traditional fishing knowledge to the trip. We opted for a half-day halibut excursion and came close to reaching our limit. Austin expertly filleted the fish and sent us home with a cooler brimming with our catch. I would definitely book with Addictive Sport Fishing again—10/10!

We had an amazing trip with Captain John and Austin! We landed a bunch of leopard sharks and did pretty well with halibut despite the conditions. The crew was both helpful and entertaining, and the boat was spotless. No complaints at all!
